RARE! 1976 Post Hayman (transitionary) Shergold handcrafted in London. As used by Bernard Sumner from Joy Division! A nice example and a particularly lightweight one too – 3.4kg. Also featuring the rare and unique ‘Vibrasonic’ spring chamber within the body that resonates
A rare example of these hand-built instruments in black finish (the best colour these were offered in) that has checked & aged in a very attractive way (as they all do), evoking Unknown Pleasures perhaps? Dated November 1976 –
Made in UK by ex-Burns London employee!
Refretted in house at Found Sound by Jon Free (Black Guitars). A new control plate has been manufactured to house the pots and switches (please get in touch if you’d like one as we can offer these reproduction Shergold parts for sale).
